This is a demo of 'The Last One,' a song I wrote for the "Amplify" record in 2010. It was recorded on a Boss BR-532 Digital Studio, something archaic by today's standards. The song was originally written for a pilot episode of a TV show, to be pitched to network television. Outside of a touch of compression and EQ and converting it to a .wav file, this is the original recording of the demo, unedited.
Lyrics
The Last One
Music and Lyrics by Seth Adam
How can I tell you
that this one will hurt you
more than the other ones
hurt you before?
Crush all your hope
and take all your money
and leave with nothing
outside your front door
Oh, it's the last one
Oh, it's the last one
How many lines?
How many reasons
do you think sufficient
to forfeit the rain?
Stifled and reaching
You're sinking deeper
I can't pull you out
when you keep doing the same
So it's a new life
and it's time to begin
The last one well, you can leave behind
and you'll see yourself again
